Residential Service Parking Permit ( Application )
Businesses, such as contractors, realtors, property managers, or non-resident landlords often need to do work in residential areas of town, and need to park their vehicles. Residents may have construction work being done on their property and need to have multiple service vehicles that need parking. In both examples the Town offers the Residential Service Parking Permit. Residents may be eligible for up five parking permits for vehicles. Businesses that do work in many residential areas may also be eligible for a permit. The definition of essential vehicle is one that the business requires to be on-site due to bulk of items being used in the professional service and/or the need for repeated trips for tools or parts to and from the vehicle. The permit fee is $25 per month or $150 per year / per vehicle and is only usable in the Residential Permit Parking Zones throughout Town.
Commercial Service Parking Permit (Application )
This permit is for service vehicles such as plumbing, electrician, utility, pest control, HVAC, etc. to park while doing work in both residential neighborhoods and the downtown business district. The definition of essential vehicle is one that the business normally requires to be on-site due to bulk of items being used in the professional service and/or the need for repeated trips for tools, parts, equipment, machines, etc. to and from the vehicle. The permit fee is $25 per month or $150 per year / per vehicle and is good in the Residential Permit Parking Zones and the downtown business district.
Downtown Employee Parking Permit (Application)
Permits are available for employees of businesses in the downtown business district to park in four designated parking areas starting at 3:00 p.m. each day; freeing up more desirable parking for customers near the businesses. The permits are $20 each.
Monthly Downtown Business Validation Accounts
The Town offers downtown businesses the ability to have a specially created code to give to their customers to pay for their parking upon their arrival. The business will then be invoiced monthly for the amount of parking, plus an additional $5.00 fee per pay station, per month (as of August 1, 2020)
In our downtown business district, there are several Loading Zones, see map below. They are intended for commercial vehicles and business delivery use only. There is a 30 minute time limit for all Loading Zones. We can reserve on-street parking spaces only for contractors or commercially licensed trucks performing renovation work in the downtown are; as well as for special events. The fee is $15.00 per meter per day. You must request the reservations 10 business days prior to the effective date. All applicable laws and regulations are still in effect.
